Winners in South Africa!

Juliane Blaas und Andreas Ramp

The lucky winners Juliane Blaas and Andreas Ramp.

The Soccer World Cup is up and running and two supporters of our Dibanisa Development Project will be part of it in South Africa. The married couple Juliane Blaas and Andreas Ramp are the lucky winners of the Continental AG lottery. They won a three-day World Cup trip to Johannesburg. Congratulations at this point!

At our Dibanisa informational evenings in Stuttgart and Cologne the guests had the opportunity to sponsor a piece of lawn and obtained in return the chance to attend the World Cup ticket lottery of the FIFA sponsor Continental. Nina who made the lucky draw had the right touch for two people from Stuttgart. The married couple Juliane Blaas and Andreas Ramp (Hair Ramp Stuttgart) are the winners and they were more than excited about the good news.

You guys must have fun at the Brasil match and enjoy a great trip and experiences in South Africa!

Foundation Cup 2010!

The Foundation Cup on Saturday was a great success!

After months of stringent preparation and organisation the Soccer Tournament of the Football Foundation of South Africa and Dibanisa e.V. kicked off on Saturday 29th May and was a massive success from start to finish.

Less than two weeks before South Africa’s big kick off, 18 teams (U13 and U15) travelled far and wide to the Gansbaai Communal Sports Centre to attend this big tournament. After a week of dismal weather in the Western Cape, the sun shone on Gansbaai, accompanied with music, flags, face painting and a passionate diski dance but it was the children who were the shining light after a full day‘s competition.

GG U13’s and Young Rangers U15’s ( both from Hermanus) ran out winners of the respective competitions and happily received their prizes from the head coach of the Football Foundation in the venue‘s clubhouse next to the brand new solar powered television kindly donated by Solarworld, where the kids will soon be cheering on Bafana Bafana during the World Cup!

The launch of the SolarWorld Sun TV was also a success and the children were able to watch the Super 14 final in the clubhouse! The Sun TV will be used for community viewing during the World Cup, and for educational purposes in partnership with Dibanisa.

FFSA would like to thank all the teams, press, supporters, volunteers and sponsors for making this day such a big success.  The day exceeded everyone’s expectations and we have decided to make this an annual event commemorating the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

A special thanks to our tournament sponsors without whom the day would not have been possible: Marine Dynamics and prize sponsors: Mitre, Nike, Shark Diving Unlimited & Sportzone.
